Happy happy news

Good news...we are moving to Boise! Our living space is a tiny 2 bed 1 bath townhouse in the downtown area. Pictures will come...I may even do a before and after thingy. Although, the after part won't come for a while. Unpacking isn't fun to do.

More good news...Kyle has a good job with Verizon that includes insurance and all that good stuff! Did I mention we get a discount on our cell phone bill? Yep! Happy stuff! He's going to finish his associate in a bit at a community college then probably finish up at Boise State. Wowsers, we're turning into Broncos!

Some more good news...I am SUPER close in getting a job. Yay me!

And yet, more good news...Grocery Outlet is just down the road! So happy for cheap groceries.

Weird...

What?! I'm willing to redo my blog background but too lazy to put up a post? Yep!

Sorry guys, I'm just really bad at this whole blogging thing. Not much to really blog about! Maybe when the holidays are here I can post up some pics! But for now, just check Facebook to see how we're all doing!

An update...

So, this summer hasn't been that eventful so far, but we've had some fun trips home to Caldwell and to the park. Because of our dear economy (and living in Rexburg), I haven't been able to find a job. A couple of weeks ago, a guy in our ward mentioned that he had lost his job and was working for the temp. service while searching for a new job. "Well, why didn't we think of that a long time ago!" Kyle and I were thinking. The temp. service can also be used to find long-term and permanent jobs. So, this past week I got all signed up and interviewed and am now enduring the "waiting game" -- waiting for them to call and give me an assignment! Of course, it's kind of nerve wracking to go work at a random place, but at least it's work. My goal is to have something permanent before the summer is over!

As you can probably tell, I've had more spare time than I can handle. After I graduated, I was driving myself nuts with boredom and job searching! Thankfully, I have found some nice things to do. I've been going to the public library about once a week to get some books. Unfortunately, a lot of people have the same idea, so most of the books I want to read are always checked out. Also, the nature park in northern Rexburg is such a nice place to go to, and not a lot of the students go there. They have a huge pond with ducks, so we always bring bread to feed the ducks! Hey, it's a kid thing, but there will always be a little kid inside an adult! Haha! The park is right by the Rexburg airport, which is actually pretty entertaining. It's fun to watch the planes and helicopters come and go. Kyle and I want to try camping a couple of times before the summer is over. We don't have a lot of camping stuff, so we'd have to rent from BYU-I's ORC (outdoor rec. center). Not being Eastern Idahoans, we also don't know good places to camp. Anyone have any good locations? I heard that Island Park was a good place...

Recently I organized my pictures on my computer. Holy crap, I have a ton of pictures from over the years! I've always wanted to try photo shop and, after surfing around the Internet for a while, found a site that I can use for free (there is a Premium version available for about $25/year, but I'll stick to the free basics!). The website is www.Picnik.com, and I recommend it if anyone is looking for some basic photo shopping! I did a couple of experiments, too. I tried first on my wedding photos, since they're the prettiest in my opinion, but found that they didn't need photo shop done to them at all! They're just pretty as they are. So, I did a couple of other random photos.

This pic I took last month when Kinsey, Mama Bert, and I went and got ice cream. I basically just enhanced the photo's colors to make the ice cream experience more "fun." Plus, it's a cute picture of Kinsey! Haha.

I added some simple words to this photo!

Kinsey and I modeling the purses that Ben sent from Peru. I made it so that the purses were the focal point of the pic.

I looove this pic of Ben! This is his area in Peru: the dirty hills.

This is from our honeymoon. Kyle wanted a picture with this hippy fortune teller. Since it's hard to tell why this picture was taken, I fixed it so that the hippy fortune teller guy was the focal point. I also love this pic because Kyle looks nervous getting his pic. with this guy! Haha. He had no reason to be nervous!

Well, that's all for the update! Maybe I'll be better with posting on this blog in the future.

Lots of posts!

I put up, like, 5 posts this morning so be sure to check out all of them! Not much is going on with me and Kyle in Rexburg. Things are a lot more eventful when we leave town!

SO fashionable!

One of the perks of having a brother on a foreign mission is the neat gifts he sends us! Ben is serving a mission in Peru right now. It's not his original mission, but due to political unrest in Bolivia, all American missionaries had to leave and Ben was temporarily reassigned in Peru. However, things are working out and the church is letting missionaries back into Bolivia. Ben should be sent there later in the summer! He's very excited!

Anyway, Ben sent Kinsey and I some purses from Peru! We decided to model them...

In remembrance...

Monday, my family and I went to my grandpa's grave at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery. It's located in Northern Boise and it has a very beautiful view of the valley!

Family time!

Mama Bert (my grandma) is visiting my family for 3 weeks so I also got to see her over the weekend! It was sooooo good to see her!

Mama Bert came last year for our wedding and made my wedding cake, too! She is very talented! See?

My cousin Jacob is living in Rexburg, too, while going to school at BYU-I, so he drove up to see Mama Bert and the family

Lol. I walked out to my family's garage and I found the cat sitting on the 4-wheeler, like it's his ride or something!

Can't forget little Griz, my family's dog. I swear, if I could take home that dog, I would! He's the funniest dog!

Can't forget precious McKinsey!

Unfortunately, I only got pics of Kyle's family at graduation :(

2 graduates!

For Memorial Day weekend, Kyle and I drove back home for a high school graduation. Both of us had younger brothers graduating from the same school! Having to only go to 1 graduation for 2 people makes life pretty simple...or so I thought. First of all, my family and Kyle's family showed up at different times and didn't sit close to each other (the auditorium filled up quickly). That caused our first challenge: which family do we sit by? We ended up sitting with Kyle's family. The next challenge happened after graduation was over: how do we find Jason and Kalvin (Kyle's bro) in the HUGE crowd of people? It took over an hour after graduation was over to find them and take pictures with our families. Whew! I was exhausted by the end of the night. But, HAPPY GRADUATION to Jason and Kalvin!!!

Here's Jase walking to his seat...it was not hard to spot him from far away!

Yay Jason! He was sooo ready for school to be done. He said that his teachers had piled on the homework during the last semester of school. (Sad to say, but college is no different!)

I love my mom!

Happy Mother's Day to my mommy! (and all you other moms out there). My mom has been such a blessing and example in my life! She's very fun, spunky, and full of energy (no matter how many times she says she's tired in a day). The way that my mom raised me has helped me to be a better person, a better wife, and hopefully someday a better mom.

"Saturday, in the park..."

A couple of weeks ago Rexburg had some sunny and warm weather, so on one saturday Kyle and I took advantage of the nice day and went to the nature park in Rexburg. I'd never been to this particular park before, but I'd heard that they had a pond and some ducks. When we got there, the "pond" had a really low water level and we found only 2 ducks! So, we fed the couple.

We also brought some food for a picnic.

While on his mission, Kyle had a companion that introduced him to juggling, specifically the "Diablo." Here's a couple of pics of Kyle in action! He can do some really neat tricks, but hasn't been able to play with it much over the winter (too cold outside!), so he's a little out of practice. I tried uploading a video of Kyle playing with the Diablo, but it wouldn't work for some reason! Maybe next time I can get it up.

Graduation!

I was standing on a ledge, so that's why I was taller than Jason and McKinsey! In real life, they are so tall compared to me. Why did I end up so short compared to my siblings? Lol.

Our college includes the Horticulture department, so I got a gorgeous rose, too!

I had a couple of friends graduating from the same college as me! This is Jenni, my old roommate. I couldn't find anyone else, unfortunately.

*gasp* why is my cover empty?! Is this a joke? Ha ha jk. They mail the diplomas a few weeks after graduation.

Kyle and I were also able to go home that weekend for Easter and visit our families. My cousin Jacob came, too, to spend time with the fam. I have some pics from that, but I'll upload them next time.
