Monday, my family and I went to my grandpa's grave at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery. It's located in Northern Boise and it has a very beautiful view of the valley!

I love my mom!

Happy Mother's Day to my mommy! (and all you other moms out there). My mom has been such a blessing and example in my life! She's very fun, spunky, and full of energy (no matter how many times she says she's tired in a day). The way that my mom raised me has helped me to be a better person, a better wife, and hopefully someday a better mom.

Easter weekend

Happy Birthday, Kyle!

Kyle turns 23 years old today! Wow, I can't believe how old he his! Lol. For lunch we made homemade burgers, his favorite.

They turned out really yummy!


I went out last night to the Cocoa Bean, a little shop that sells hot chocolate with different flavors and gourmet cupcakes. Going there is always a treat, and I decided to get a cupcake for Kyle's birthday: Cherry Chocolate Cheesecake! It looked so good, I almost ate it for myself on the way home!


Doesn't it look great? They use the best kind of frosting on all their cupcakes: butter cream icing! Plus, one cupcake feeds 2! So, I also got to enjoy the savory chocolate.

A much-needed break

Last week being Thanksgiving, Kyle and I got a whole week off of school! I tell ya, I was getting so burnt out from classes, I welcomed the break with open arms. Although Kyle and I are from the same hometown, it wasn't a big hassle trying to divide up the time. We'd agreed before hand that we'd eat Thanksgiving meal at my house and then spend the rest of the day with Kyle's family. All in all, things worked out great! The food was great (well duh, my mom was in charge of it!), the family was great, and the shopping on Black Friday was great (yes, I honored Black Friday). I also had my birthday the day before Thanksgiving and that was fun, too!

I also got my hair cut over the break. This is how long it was before...

This is my hair now! You can't really tell that it was cut a lot, but the hairdresser took off almost 6 inches!

My bro Jason! It was so good to see him! He had his braces taken off a few months ago and his teeth look great!


Ah, yes...the dreaded birthday spankings. It's a tradition we have on everyone's birthday. I didn't turn very old, but my butt was numb from all the spankings! Of course, it gets worse as you grow older......

So, Halloween came and went, and it was pretty fun this year! Kyle and I carved pumpkins (well, I carved. Kyle did some fancy stuff to his). I found a really cool pirate pattern and Kyle wanted to do John McCain and promote the elections! lol. I know, you're probably thinking, how in the world did that turn out? But, it ended up looking good!

Whoo! Kyle's finished product. Turned out so realistic! We forgot to get a shot of the back of his pumpkin, but it had "Vote '08."


Here's mine! It turned out surprisingly great! I'm not usually a great pumpkin carver, but there were no accidents this time.


And of course, we dressed up for Halloween! There was a little Halloween Carnival on campus that we went for a little bit, but it wasn't very fun. So, we went and ate at Sonic and watched movies at home! Overall, it was fun. For Halloween, we were a Greek god and goddess.
