Easter weekend

As promised, here's some pics from when Kyle and I were home for Easter weekend. Our cousin Jacob, who looks a lot like Ben, tagged along, too.

Graduation!

I was standing on a ledge, so that's why I was taller than Jason and McKinsey! In real life, they are so tall compared to me. Why did I end up so short compared to my siblings? Lol.


Our college includes the Horticulture department, so I got a gorgeous rose, too!

I had a couple of friends graduating from the same college as me! This is Jenni, my old roommate. I couldn't find anyone else, unfortunately.

*gasp* why is my cover empty?! Is this a joke? Ha ha jk. They mail the diplomas a few weeks after graduation.

Kyle and I were also able to go home that weekend for Easter and visit our families. My cousin Jacob came, too, to spend time with the fam. I have some pics from that, but I'll upload them next time.

Happy Birthday, Kyle!

Kyle turns 23 years old today! Wow, I can't believe how old he his! Lol. For lunch we made homemade burgers, his favorite.

They turned out really yummy!


I went out last night to the Cocoa Bean, a little shop that sells hot chocolate with different flavors and gourmet cupcakes. Going there is always a treat, and I decided to get a cupcake for Kyle's birthday: Cherry Chocolate Cheesecake! It looked so good, I almost ate it for myself on the way home!


Doesn't it look great? They use the best kind of frosting on all their cupcakes: butter cream icing! Plus, one cupcake feeds 2! So, I also got to enjoy the savory chocolate.

I love...

Crock pots! Sometimes before church me or Kyle will throw in some ingredients, turn it on high, then come home 3 hours later to a nice-smelling meal! Yesterday we were running behind on time and just put some random stuff in. We put in steak strips, a can of tomato sauce, some spices, and a can of 3-bean salad. I wasn't sure about the can of beans (it didn't look appetizing), but the meal turned out great! Put it over some cooked rice, add some homemade biscuits, and you're in for a great dinner.

......Because I don't think Rexburg got the memo! This huge snowstorm rolled in during church on Sunday. Kyle and I were able to make it home before the snow stuck.

It looks pretty, but it sure wasn't wanted...

Luckily, today most of the snow has melted! It's supposed to be a bit more snowy this week. Next week it'll be sunny right in time for graduation! Yes!

The Wounds of Earning Money...

Yes, I know it's been a while since I posted; don't remind me ;). Lately, there's been nothing to post about: school, work, and other unexciting stuff! Well, one exciting event is coming up in less than 3 weeks...my graduation! I am very excited about graduating from BYU-I and I'm so surprised at how fast these 4 years have gone by! I've been tired of going to school for a month now, but I will be sad to leave BYU-I. It has been a great school these past 4 years.

To pick up some extra money, Kyle's been donating plasma twice a week; here at the plasma center you get PAID to donate it! I don't really want to do it (why feel sick twice a week? It's like giving blood), but Kyle loves doing it and it's an easy $70/week. He rarely has had any problems with feeling woozy and such, but the other day a new guy was trying to put the needle into his arm. To make a long story short, the new guy did a rather crappy job of trying to find a vein and ended up bruising both of Kyle's arms and making him bleed! He never ended up donating plasma that day, but he still got paid for it.

I took this after he came home from the plasma center that day. Poor Kyle...


And this was taken about a day or so after. Surprisingly, the other arm didn't bruise!

A much-needed break

Last week being Thanksgiving, Kyle and I got a whole week off of school! I tell ya, I was getting so burnt out from classes, I welcomed the break with open arms. Although Kyle and I are from the same hometown, it wasn't a big hassle trying to divide up the time. We'd agreed before hand that we'd eat Thanksgiving meal at my house and then spend the rest of the day with Kyle's family. All in all, things worked out great! The food was great (well duh, my mom was in charge of it!), the family was great, and the shopping on Black Friday was great (yes, I honored Black Friday). I also had my birthday the day before Thanksgiving and that was fun, too!

I also got my hair cut over the break. This is how long it was before...

This is my hair now! You can't really tell that it was cut a lot, but the hairdresser took off almost 6 inches!

This pic is also from my birthday party! The cake was yummy, pound cake with strawberry puree and cool whip!

My bro Jason! It was so good to see him! He had his braces taken off a few months ago and his teeth look great!


Ah, yes...the dreaded birthday spankings. It's a tradition we have on everyone's birthday. I didn't turn very old, but my butt was numb from all the spankings! Of course, it gets worse as you grow older......
